I have started partnering with local senior living residences to help residents learn how to use computers, tablets and smart phones to enjoy things like keeping up with family via email and Facebook or perhaps learning more about a hobby through YouTube.
Customizable Programs
I am always looking for opportunities to sit down with activity directors and/or residents to create a custom 2-hour program introducing residents to ways technology can be fun and not frustrating, enlightening and not exasperating. Here are a couple programs we could customize:
Affordable
Programs are offered for just $50/hour regardless of how many people sit in on a session. If two or more programs are scheduled in a year, additional, free one-on-one time can be scheduled or perhaps on a larger scale, high school technology students working with residents.

- Keeping In Touch With Family - 20 minute presentation on a large screen TV showing how to use email and Facebook to communicate/keep up with family followed by 1 hour 40 minutes of individual, one-on-one training using More Tech Savvy computers or, better yet, on computers used by residents at the facility.
- Kindles and Tablets: A New World of Reading and Adventure - 30 minute presentation on a big screen TV showing how to use a tablet to read/order books and to video chat (Face Time and Skype) followed by 1 hour and 30 minutes of one-on-one help for residents with their tablets.
